Most visits to your healthcare provider that are brought on by different afflictions, like, migraine headaches, elevated blood pressure, or ulcers, could be alleviated by the power of prayer. Prayer can increase our stages of dopamine, which is liable for joy and tranquility. Prayer may even raise your immunity system.

There is something uniquely wonderful in prayer.

so, why take out the time to pray?

We pray because it is the way we talk to God. But Jesus' disciples had to ask for themselves what may seem like an elementary matter, despite our discomfort in doing so:

One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”

Luke 11:1 (NIV)

Learning to pray is the most essential thing you can do in life. The most crucial skill we can develop is prayer. We learn how to communicate with God, comprehend him, connect with him, and comprehend ourselves via prayer.

Why is it crucial to hope? We have untapped potential when we pray. It unlocks, ignites, heals, transforms, empowers, and calms. Here are 5 persuasive and motivational arguments for praying.

1. Prayer Combats Demonic Forces

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Ephesians 6:10-13 (NIV)

Prayer is a weapon that attacks and defeats the spiritual forces of evil. We weren’t intended to live our Christian lives on the defense. The armor of God gives safety, however it also permits us to take our stand, and fight back towards the dark forces of the enemy.

How often do you pray for God that He will help you stand your ground towards temptation, sin, and more?

2. Prayer Frees Us ⛓

1 Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. 2 Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deceit. 3 When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. 4 For day and night your hand was heavy on me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer.

5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin. 6 Therefore let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found; surely the rising of the mighty waters will not reach them. 7 You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.

Psalm 32:1-7 (NIV)

Prayer frees us, but only when we honestly, open up to God about our sins. When we keep silent, we have no strength and our guilt stays. When we pray virtuously, we're energized and God bestows upon us trust, assurance, and freedom.

Prayer refocuses us on God and now not on ourselves or other human beings. Real strength comes from God, now not our humanistic abilities or capabilities. When we pray, we forestall believing we’re the handiest ones capable of solving troubles.

What do you need to pray about more openly?

When you don't be honest in your daily prayer, how do you perceive yourself becoming "quiet" or "wasting away"?

3. Prayer Draws God🙂

16 Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me. 17 I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue. 18 If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; 19 but God has surely listened and has heard my prayer. 20 Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!

Psalm 66:16-20 (NIV)

When we address our sin and our heart, God listens to our prayers and acts on our behalf. Leaving things unresolved makes it hard for us to be sincere, show humility and be vulnerable, causing our prayers to be distracted or now not true.

Prayer is a really perfect possibility to explore our hearts, give everything in it's entirety with God and begin relieving ourselves of guilt and different feelings that may be weighing us down. By doing this, we could draw God and afford him the opportunity to work in our lives and on our behalf.

What sins do you want to start praying in regard to, so you don’t stay guilty?

What would it appear like if you called out to God in prayer?

4. Prayer Has Positive Affect on People's Life

27 You will pray to him, and he will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows. 28 What you decide on will be done, and light will shine on your ways. 29 When people are brought low and you say, ‘Lift them up!’ then he will save the downcast. 30 He will deliver even one who is not innocent, who will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands.”

Job 22:27-30 (NIV)

By praying for them, you can alter their route in life. It's true, even though they might not understand why. Our prayers have the power to inspire people, sway their choices, and alter outcomes.

5. Prayer Moves Angels on Your Behalf 👼

20 While I was speaking and praying, confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel and making my request to the Lord my God for his holy hill— 21 while I was still in prayer, Gabriel, the man I had seen in the earlier vision, came to me in swift flight about the time of the evening sacrifice.

22 He instructed me and said to me, “Daniel, I have now come to give you insight and understanding. 23 As soon as you began to pray, a word went out, which I have come to tell you, for you are highly esteemed. Therefore, consider the word and understand the vision:

Daniel 9:20-23 (NIV)

Angelic intervention on our behalf begins with prayer. If we are not accustomed to viewing the world spiritually, this idea may be challenging for us to comprehend.

The truth is that the Bible describes everyday spiritual warfare, and it is up to us to decide whether or not we want to start thinking that our prayers have an impact on both the spiritual and material worlds.

Do you believe your prayers have a spiritual effect?

How do you currently require God's assistance?

When I was a young boy, my mother and father would get my brothers and myself up early in the morning (by the way all 7 of us), for 5AM prayer. We were not fond of that when we were younger. I wanted no part of it as I got older, but my parents never let up on praying for us. Now, I am in my 50's and I still get up in the morning and continue to pray. It is a part of my daily life. I would not change it for the world. It sets the tone for my day.

When praying, try creating a focused attempt to not simply pray about yourself. Think critically about who you recognize that is in need of help, or who wishes a breakthrough in a specific place in their existence.

Who is in need of prayer?

How dedicated have you been to prayer every day?

What new prayer practices can you implement today to bring about change?

The needs of others is a good place to start.
